A Special Kind of Grace

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them...." (Romans 12:6a)

The primary arena in which I have grace is that I have grace to be me.

I have grace to be me IN CHRIST.

I do not have grace to be me and live like hell.

If I choose to live like hell...i.e., to live and practice anything or any lifestyle that God forbids Christians to live.....I'm on my own experientially.

God won't supply grace to rob banks, steal, lie, practice sexual sin, be a jerk....

If I were to choose any sinful lifestyle....I'll be wasting God's grace to be me in Christ....and I'll have to grunt through it as if I were all on my own.

Oh, I COULD surround myself with others like me....or foolish people that would encourage me to remain in my sin...even tell me I am wonderful BECAUSE of my sinful lifestyle....

But, I WOULD know I was squandering the grace of God to be me in Christ...

And I would be cheating myself out of the presence of God in my moment by moment life.

I don't want to live like that... lonely for the presence of God Who, through with me eternally....would feel so absent to me.

I choose to harvest the grace of God to be me...in Christ.

Speaking to fellow Christians: YOU have the grace of God to be YOU in Christ.

Will you waste it or harvest that today?

We get to choose.

Let's choose LIFE!
