    Always Looking to Serve

    Always Looking to Serve

A long time ago I was sitting in an office at the church building where I worked at the time. My boss, another minister, was just staring at me. It wasn’t good. I was wondering, “What did I do wrong this time?” He pretty much spit out this next question: “Why do people LOVE you so much?” I was stunned. Back then my self-esteem was so horrible I really had no idea anyone but my wife Laurie and our children loved me at all. I really had to think about that. “But Jesus called th

Every act done in obedience to God will ALSO put something at risk – b

And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:1-2) Before God spoke “the earth was without form (a desolate waste), and void (empty ruin)” and “darkness was on the face of the deep”. Several commentaries translate the idea of the earth being “without form” and “void” as chaos and desolation. As I read this passa
