One Family - One Body

Do a search in your Bible someday for the term "church family."

You won't find it.

You won't even find passages or verses that communicate the idea.

You will find passages that speak of Christians being ONE family...in Christ.

"He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become CHILDREN OF GOD, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:10-13)

"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom THE WHOLE FAMILY in heaven and earth is named..." (Ephesians 3:14-15)

"What family?", one might ask.

The family of God.

Holy Spirit did not have men write about a day in which the ONE Body of Christ would be divided into billions of autonomous pieces parts.

One thing Jesus died for was to unify people IN HIMSELF.

Christians ARE one body....no matter how we practice our faith...no matter whether or not we forgive or walk in forgiveness...even when we have a bad day.

We are ONE body in Christ.

Jesus speaking:

"And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be ONE FLOCK and ONE SHEPHERD." (John 10:16)

"Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that THEY MAY BE ONE as We are." (John 17:11)

"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; THAT THEY ALL MAY BE ONE, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that THEY ALSO MAY BE ONE in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that THEY MAY BE ONE JUST AS WE ARE ONE: I in them, and You in Me; that THEY MAY ALSO BE MADE PERFECT IN ONE, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." (John 17:20-23)

We are ONE in Christ.

It’s just best when we live like we are. Amen?
