Did you know that I am President of Mike McInerney Ministries, Inc. in Decatur, TX?
Did you know that we are a true “faith-only” ministry, never having charged anyone anything for any way we have served them?
Did you know that because of that that I function as missionary to the North Texas area but also in other parts of the USA and foreign countries on short term ministry trips?
Did you know that I am licensed and ordained as a Minister of the Lord Jesus Christ and hold an MA degree in Counseling?
Did you know that I have 26 years’ experience in counseling as well as pastoral care (in the first century style), preaching, teaching (face-to-face, online and abroad), prison/jail ministry, street evangelism, nursing home ministry, hospice chaplain ministry and deliverance when necessary?
Did you know that we have a passion to and a track record of helping to restore, heal and equip believers so they can be an active part in growing the Kingdom of God wherever they are?
Did you know that until early 2014 almost every Tuesday night for 15 years or so I taught a Bible study online or that I am teaching one on FB LIVE now on Mondays?
Did you know that since 2013 I have written and posted close to 200 articles on FaceBook and have authored a 2 volume book on the Gospel of John?
Did you know that every morning I post a ”Proverb of the Day” devotional on FaceBook?
Did you know I have been invited to minister in several other countries in the future (as well as past trips to Canada, Sierra Leone and Guyana?)
Did you know that I have rarely asked for financial help for our ministry?
Did you know that our ministry is funded mostly by donations from just one local congregation, individuals we have served in the past and some counselees who donate when they visit?
Did you know that we have used those funds to be productive in ministry through counseling over 780 people locally (and about 450 Houston in the past), ministering in various places in the USA and abroad, providing much teaching and intense, personal pastoral care and discipleship?
Did you know that in the past 8 years in particular, we have raised and passed along substantial amounts of cash and material goods to some 120 different families in this local area (and one each in Zimbabwe and New Zealand) who were in need? (This often amounts to ¼ of our yearly ministry income.)
Did you know that everything I just mentioned was done with an astoundingly small budget?
Did you know that everything I just mentioned was only made possible by the Body of Christ working as a unit to fund us, inform us of needs, refer clients, allow us to serve and supporting us with enthusiasm, prayer and finances?
Did you know that it IS possible for a very small ministry in a little town in North Texas to make a big difference in the lives of people locally, state-wide, nationally and internationally?
Did you know that in the last 3 years we have been working in our new ministry training and resource center in Decatur, TX which has doubled what our little ministry spends every month?
I am writing this today to inform you of the scope of our ministry and to let you know how you can help us.
We rarely asked for financial help and I think this may have communicated somehow that we do not need donations.
The truth is that any faith-only ministry like ours needs others to partner with them. This is so that we can maintain the availability and level of service that we currently provide and for potential ministry trips nationwide and abroad.
Please pray and see if and how the Lord would have you and congregation support our ministry on a one time or regular basis now and throughout 2018 so we can continue to serve others.
It doesn’t take much to make a big difference to a small ministry like ours.
We value our good reputation as a ministry: we don’t want to be wealthy - we simply want to make ends meet so that we can continue to serve. Thank you for whatever you decide to do.
