God has made a promise to we who have received Jesus as our Lord:
“And this is the promise that He has promised us - eternal life.” (1 John 2:25)
We Christians are eternal supernatural beings having a temporary earthly experience. All others are otherwise.
If we Christians act as if what happens on the earth is the sum total of our existence we will miss the eternal life available to us moment by moment.
If we Christians act as if what happens on the earth matters not at all we will cause others to miss out on the eternal life available to them moment by moment and forever.
All lost people have - is their short time on the earth. If they remain lost, their time after they leave their earthly lives will be eternally excruciating.
If we Christians live moment by moment like the eternal supernatural beings we are, having a temporary earthly experience that matters....more lost people will be homesick for what we have in Jesus and fewer will spend eternity in hell.
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3 – Jesus speaking to His Father about us.)
Eternal life does not start when we die. Eternal life is a moment by moment experience we can only have through actively trusting in Jesus moment by moment.
